Bantwal, Apr 16: Dakshina Kannada Congress candidate Padmaraj R Poojary held a roadshow in the Vittal Market area on Tuesday, April 16, in anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Padmaraj commenced his campaign after offering special prayers at religious centers. The roadshow kicked off from the entrance of the Vittal Sri Panchalingeshwara temple, concluding at the Vittal bus stand, passing through the Puttur Market en route. Subsequently, he visited the Vittal market area to solicit votes. A significant number of Congress activists and leaders extended their support throughout the roadshow.
Padmaraj stated, “Congress MPs have provided numerous facilities to Dakshina Kannada district, including essential infrastructure. However, BJP MPs, who have represented the district for a long time, have not contributed to its development. They have failed to continue the work initiated by Congress. In contrast, the Congress government has delivered on its promises and demonstrated significant development. If I emerge victorious, priority will be given to employment generation and health services.”
Puttur MLA Ashok Rai remarked, “The state government has fulfilled its promises and shown itself to be a pro-development government, as guaranteed to the people of Karnataka. These advancements are likely to translate into votes in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.”
Padmaraj Poojary offered prayers at several religious sites in Vittal, including the Vittal Panchalingeshwara Temple, Vittal Palace, Vittal Juma Masjid, and Vittal Mother of Sorrows Church.
