Bantwal: Absconding accused in stabbing of Hindu leader arrested

Bantwal, Apr 18: City police apprehended Ravi, also known as Ravindra, a resident of Bantwal, who was allegedly absconding after stabbing a leader of a Hindu organization.

Ravi stabbed Hindu Yuvasene leader Pushparaj on the night of April 14 at Jaakribettu and fled from the spot. Pushparaj is admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.

Ravi turned off his mobile phone and fled, but police managed to apprehend him after four days in Kavalakatte on Wednesday. He is currently being interrogated.

The motive for the stabbing will only be known after the police investigation.
