Mangaluru, Apr 23: “The Centre is doing great injustice to Karnataka. Common schemes of the central government are not yet implemented in the state. The 26 MPs of Karnataka are useless and inefficient,” said Dinesh Gundu Rao, district in-charge minister of Dakshina Kannada.
Gundu Rao spoke after visiting the historically famous Syed Madani Darga at Ullal as part of the Lok Sabha election campaign. He further said, “Though the state faced severe drought, the central government did not cooperate. Superme Court has questioned this stance of the union government. As common schemes are not implemented, we proposed having discussion but they did not make up their mind. They have not kept the relations of state with central government. While observing all these, Congress is going to win more seats than expected in the coming Lok Sabha elections. We were confident of winning in 16 constituencies. But seeing the support of people we expect to win more than 20 seats. In Mangaluru, Congress candidate is good. Party workers are working unitedly. So there is no doubt of Padmaraj winning the elections. In addition, there is no doubt that Congress candidates of Udupi-Chikkamagaluru and Shivamogga districts also will win the elections."
“The atmosphere has changed. The Central government has put the whole country under pressure. People are feeling suffocated. The country is being divided. People are sick of such mindset of the BJP. People are frustrated after listening to the speeches of PM Modi. Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra campaign that was held with the message of love one another and stop instigating people with jealousy, hate and violent mindset, is a great success," Dinesh Gundu Rao said.
“Central government has given just 'Chombu' to the state that pays the highest tax and invests highest capital in the country. There is no relation between the murder of Neha and politics. It is a heinous crime. The guilty should be punished at any cost. However, BJP is going to the house of the deceased girl and doing politics on the dead body. They are corrupting the minds of people. BJP will suffer losses because of this. People are sick of dead body politics," he said.
“It is not possible to mislead the people of the country. Now the country has Rs 187 lac crore of loans. It was Rs 50 lac crores a decade ago. Now it has increased by 300%. More than Rs 14 lac crore loan of the rich and afflutent people of the country has been waived off. Congress is doing the work of protecting commoners, while BJP is trying to protect Adani and Ambani.”
