Bantwal: Two workers cleaning well die of suffocation

Bantwal, Ap 23: In an unfortunate incident two brothers who got down into a well have died of suffocation.

K M Ibrahim (38), resident of Vittal Padnoor is into contracts of fixing well rings and masonry.

He had taken with him workers Mohammed Ali, Abdul Rahim and Sayyad to clear sledge in the well belonging to Venkat Rao at Padibagilu, Kepu grama, Bantwal on April 23. Mohammed Ali (24) got down with the help of the rope to the 25 feet deep well in the afternoon.

As he developed breathing difficulty, his brother Ibrahim got down to the well to help him. However, both got suffocated in the well. The local people lifted them and rushed to Vitla government hospital by an ambulance. The doctors examined them and declared that they were dead.

A case under UDR 20/2024 section 174 CRPC is registered in Vittal police station in this connection.
