Mangaluru, Apr 23: "Promoting harmony within the Hindu community is our primary goal," stated Congress party candidate Padmaraj R Poojary during a significant election campaign held at Baikampady.
"I have steadfastly adhered to the beliefs and principles of the Hindu religion. It has instilled in me a deep appreciation for harmony," he emphasized. The campaign, organized by the Surathkal and Gurupura block Congress committee, took place in front of Baikampady APMC.
Poojary outlined his vision for Tulunadu, advocating for its transformation into an educational, cultural, and medical hub. "There are ample opportunities here to boost tourism, generate employment, and foster district-wide development," he asserted. "Strengthening households will contribute to the prosperity of the nation."
Addressing rumors of an assured Congress victory, Poojary urged vigilance among supporters. "We will not allow anyone to undermine your dignity. Tulunadu's glory will be restored," he affirmed.
District in-charge minister Dinesh Gundurao expressed confidence in Congress's prospects, particularly praising Padmaraj R Poojary's integrity and capability. "He is an honest and competent candidate with an unblemished record. Let's work tirelessly until the last moment to ensure his victory," Gundurao urged.
KPCC president Manjunath Bhandary highlighted Congress's accomplishments, contrasting them with the BJP's purported lack of development initiatives. "Congress has delivered on its promises to over six crore people in the state. We fearlessly seek votes because the people welcome us," Bhandary asserted confidently.
KPCC chief secretary Inayat Ali echoed this sentiment, assuring that the efforts invested in securing victory for Padmaraj R Poojary and the Congress party would yield significant dividends. "Padmaraj will emerge victorious and pave the way for the district's growth," he affirmed.
The event saw the presence of several party stalwarts, including Congress district president Harish Kumar, former mayor Mahabala M G Hegde, and youth Congress president Girish Alva, among others. A vibrant roadshow from Kulai to Baikampady marked the occasion, with enthusiastic party workers chanting slogans and showcasing the Congress's guarantee projects. Drum beats, Nasik bank performances, and tiger dances added to the lively atmosphere, culminating in the candidate's felicitation at Baikampady with a floral garland.
