Brahmavar, Apr 24: A massive public gathering was organized by the Brahmavar block Congress at Brahmavar on Tuesday, April 23.
Addressing the crowd at the public meeting, Thejaswini Gowda remarked, "The BJP may seek the name and caste of B S Yediyurappa, but they do not truly need him. Where is the authentic BJP today? Dharma is with J P Hegde, Dharma is with Congress, and Dharma will prevail in the land of Geetha, here in Udupi. Let us collectively strive to disseminate the Karnataka model across the nation."
Jayaprakash Hegde, the Congress candidate for Udupi-Chikkamagaluru, addressed the gathering by stating, "You selected me in 1994, and I was entrusted with the fisheries department. The work I accomplished in that department is still remembered today. We should support those who support us. I never inquired about anyone's caste or party affiliation when they sought assistance from me. You chose me to serve you, and it is my duty to fulfill your needs. When you choose us, it becomes your right to demand accountability. A person's worth should be measured by their humanitarian values, not their wealth. There has always been a non-political relationship with the Brahmavar constituency for me."
A significant number of Congress workers participated in the public meeting.
KPCC campaign committee chairman Vinay Kumar Sorake, Udupi district working president Kishan Hegde Kolkebailu, Congress leaders Prasadraj Kanchan, Dinesh Hegde Molahalli, Veronica Cornelio and other leaders were present.
