Udupi, Apr 24: In an incident highlighting the intensifying political atmosphere ahead of the elections, the police department in Udupi swiftly took action to remove posters erected by the BJP Yuva Morcha without official permission. The posters bore the provocative message accusing the Congress government of being a ‘pickpocket government’.

The unauthorized posters, strategically placed at key junctions in Udupi, sparked controversy and raised concerns about maintaining decorum during the election season. Prompt action was taken by the police department to uphold the integrity of the electoral process and prevent any potential escalation of tensions.

Additionally, election officials were quick to respond by removing similar posters found at the KSRTC bus stand and on government buses.
