Kasargod: Prohibitory orders imposed in view of Lok Sabha elections

Kasaragod, April 24: Deputy Commissioner K Impashekar has imposed prohibitory orders in the district from 6 pm on Wednesday, April 24 till 6 pm on Saturday, April 27 as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order in view of the Lok Sabha elections.

Gatherings of more than five people at a place is banned. Candidates can go on door-to-door campaigning  and seek votes.

Medical emergencies, enforcement of law, fire brigade and activities of government services are exempted from the ban. Strict action will be taken against those who violate the orders, stated the deputy commissioner.
