Mangaluru, Apr 24: The district BJP party organized a human chain protest against the "anti-people policies" of the "Danger Congress" government on Wednesday, April 24, at Hampankatta, Mangaluru.
Addressing the gathering, Lok Sabha candidate Capt Brijesh Chowta emphasized the importance of spreading awareness about the upcoming elections and exposing the Congress party's agenda. He stated, "As we near the end of the campaign, MLA Vedavyas Kamath has taken the initiative to highlight the dangers posed by the Congress party. The Congress has jeopardized the safety of women and youth and threatens the Hindu way of life. People in Karnataka are living in fear. Despite claims by the SDPY and communist parties that our candidate is a Congress member, they hesitate to publicly acknowledge it. In just one year, the Congress has drained people's pockets, making empty promises and delivering little. Funds allocated for SC/ST communities and MLA development were not utilized, and no significant projects were initiated under Siddaramaiah's government. Our party members are raising awareness among the public about the Congress's dangerous affiliations, including its tacit support for fringe elements and the PFI. The BJP will ensure victory in Dakshina Kannada."
MLA Vedavyas Kamath echoed similar sentiments, stating, "Today, across Dakshina Kannada, we are holding massive protests under the banner of 'Congress Danger,' aiming to showcase the failures of the Congress government. Through slogans like 'Congress Danger' and 'Congress Pickpocket,' we aim to inform the public about the Congress's detrimental actions. The large turnout here today reflects the discontent with the Congress's claims of progress, while continuing to burden citizens with additional taxes."
Prominent figures such as Ramesh, Vijay Kumar, Sudhir Shetty Kannur, Divakar Pandeshwar, Capt Ganesh Karnik, Sudarshan, MCC members, and others were also in attendance.
