Mangalore, Oct 11: A person identified as Ramesh Poojary, aged about 40 years, was found murdered in the first floor of a half-constructed building located near Felix Pai Bazar in Hampanakatta here on Tuesday October 11.

Ramesh, originally from Karkala, was working in the city as a daily wage labourer. People gathered at the spot told police that Ramesh used to get drunk every night sleep in this building.

Ramesh was killed by an unidentified person who smashed his head with a stone.

The building where the murder took place has an isolated appearance and police suspect that it was a hub of illegal activities. Many labourers take shelter during the night in this building.
 
The murder would have taken place last night, police said. ACP Ravindra Gadadi, Bunder SI Ramakrishna among other police staff conducted spot investigation and a case has been registered in Bunder police station.

Police are making arrangements to contact the family members of the deceased person.

    Reshma, Udupi you have been in the states like UP & Bihar then you would have come to know what is UP and what is our state. The people like you purposefully wish our states to become like Bihar or UP as you cannot digest BJP govt ruling our state.     Karnataka has become jungleraj, in a broad day light people got murderd in the capital, powercut also helped criminals to indulge with more criminal activities, we made a mistake by voting BJP into power.
