Byndoor, Apr 30: “Prime minister of the country, who must have spoken about life, inflation, farmers, outraging modesty of women and issues faced by the country is criticising fish eating habits of a tall leader,” said Niketaraj Maurya.

Maurya was speaking at the Mahila Samavesha that was organised in support of Congress candidate for Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency Geetha Shivarajkumar by Byndoor block Congress.

Maurya asked people to reject BJP which is trying to amend the Constitution that was drafted by Dr B R Ambedkar for the survival of oppressed and poor people of the country and support Congress, which has made people to build their lives.

Geetha Shivarajkumar said, “Congress party is the one which gave reservation first to women in India. It also helped people to build their lives. Congress guarantees are successfully implemented in Karnataka. If I.N.D.I. Alliance comes to power at the Centre, Congress guarantees will be implemented throughout India.”

Actor Duniya Viji said, “BJP is dividing the country on the basis of religion among Hindus and Muslims. They try to bring differences within us and get mileage out of it. We all have to unitedly support the Congress.”

Shringeri MLA Rajegowda, former MLAs of Byndoor K Gopal Poojary, B M Sukumara Shetty, former MLA of Moodigere Ningaiah, president of Cashew Development Corporation Mamata Gatty, district president Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, Congress leaders K Jayaprakash Hegde, Muniyal Udaya Kumar Shetty, S Raju Poojary, Raghuram Shetty, in-charge of Byndoor constituency G A Bawa, media spokesperson Anil, women Congress president Gauri Devadiga, S Prakashchandra Shetty, Jagadeesha Devadiga and Subramanya Poojary were present.
