Yadgir, May 1: “If JDS leader H D Kumaraswamy and BJP leaders, who speak on Naari Shakti, should go and meet the victims of the Hassan sex scandal and console them if they really respect women,” challenged Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC president D K Shivakumar on Wednesday.
Speaking to media persons at the Devatkal helipad in Yadgir district, he stoutly denied Kumaraswamy’s allegation that he is involved in the release of the pen drives of the sex activities of his nephew and Hassan JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna.
Asked about the allegations that BJP leader and advocate Devaraje Gowda, who had unsuccessfully contested in the assembly elections against Prajwal Revanna’s father and Holenarasipur JD(S) MLA H D Revanna, the Congress leader clarified that the party spokesman has already clarified on the persons, whom Devaraje Gowda had met.
The Congress party spokesman has already revealed that Devaraje Gowda had met Kumaraswamy and BJP leaders, Shivakumar said and mentioned: “If we were to release the pen drives, which shows Prajwal Revanna’s sex acts with women of Hassan, we would have done it in a different manner and made use of the incident in the elections. But we did not want to do that.”
“I am not going to remain silent on the issue and will come out with facts in future,” he declared.
Asked if H D Revanna’s another son and JD(S) MLC Suraj Revanna, who is elder to Prajwal Revanna, had met him, Shivakumar said: “Yes, Suraj Revanna did meet him. Please ask him as go why he had met me.”
