Kundapur, May 2: Prashant Shetty (50), a resident of Noojinabailu in Ulluru-74 village near Siddapura, an entrepreneur, and social worker, passed away due to cardiac arrest while traveling by bus from Pune to Kundapur. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of May 1 in Honnavar.
Upon reaching Honnavar, Prashant notified the bus conductor of acute chest pain. He was promptly taken to a nearby government hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed after some time. He is survived by his wife and daughter.
Prashant had owned a hotel in Pune for many years. Later, he founded Babas Kitchen. During the Covid pandemic, he established the Shyamala Palace wedding hall in Siddapur and the Prashwin Inn lodge. He served as an office bearer of the Mumbai Bunts’ Association and was a patron of the Kundapur Youth Bunts Association and Siddapura Yaksha Nudisiri.
