Hyderabad: Janardhana Reddy's 'Passport' to Further Trouble Revealed

Janardhana Reddy's 'Passport' to Further Trouble Revealed

Daijiworld Media Network

Hyderabad, Oct 12: A leading Hyderabad-based English weekly has claimed that according to the CBI sources, former Karnataka tourism minister and BJP leader Janardhana Reddy possesses not one but two passports.

The first passport was obtained in the year 2003 from Bangalore regional passport office and other from Trichy in Tamilnadu, under a different name.

The newspaper claims that sources close to CBI have revealed this fact.

He applied for the second passport soon after the CBI confiscated his first passport during its renewed investigation into the illegal mining scam as per the orders of Andhra Pradesh high court, which permitted it to go ahead with the probe in December 2010, sources said.

The newspaper further quotes that Reddy had toyed with the idea of fleeing to an island he bought in 2009 near Florida in the United States.

The former minister, who is under arrest on charges of illegal mining, could face prosecution for possession of two passports. Reddy is currently lodged in an Andhra jail, where he has been remanded in judicial custody till October 17.

    Jawaher,

Don't do the mistake of keeping your latest PP at home and carrying one of your old PP when you decide to travel international. The airport will send you straight back home because all your previous Passports are cancelled.

The case with Reddy is that he applied for a different Passport (after his first one was confiscated) with an intention of fleeing the country - thank God that the CBI caught him through a surprise raid before his plans worked out.

It is too hard to find
the exact percentage of the decent and honest politicians in the
Indian politics who never used their political power and influence to get rich through the
short cuts and back doors. Politicians of all parties are
shining well in this dirty game
    plan of illegally acquired wealth
    by the millions.

    As MR. SHAHNAWAS KUKKIKATTE has
stated, the citizens of all parties must stop fighting each other, but get
united to fight the common enemy of
illegal looting of national wealth by the politicians of all parties.

There are good and bad people in every party , every religion .. I feel we must be smart enough and waste time in blaming business. We all should keep them and their supporters who still say they are great away from power...

Let us support people who are truthful..

My brother Girishanna (Manya Shetre)/Sharjah, mangalore, I liked ur comments and clicked the "like" button. But lets be prank, before we preach we must practice. If I am a thief, I cant tell others not to steal, If I smoke, I cant ask others not to smoke. Advani might not have indulged in corruption, but his party in Karnataka did. Then how come he as leader of BJP tell others that ruling party at center is corrupt when his own party that rules in our state is most corrupt of any of the state govts... If he has little sense of dignity and moral responsibility it would have been far better for him to skip karnataka in his schedule of yatra or else it looks like joke. He should protest the corruption of his party in karnataka by not visiting our state during his rath yatra, then I would call him man of ethics. Why Shetre, this double standard from this man at this age... If you read my comments on corruption, I never supported congress, please google it out and you will find an answer... Corruption and communualism are worst enemies. Corruption is pushing us below poverty lines and increasing crime where as communualism is deviding us and making our own neighbours our sworn enemies and spoiling the unity and this communualism has given rise to terrorism in all forms- green and saffron. Even our hostile countries are using this devision to their advantage and I swear that Pakistan are not the protectors and welwishers of Indian muslims, but many are ignorant and brainwashed.

The massive report of the Lokayukta on illegal mining makes copious references to the Reddy brothers, and how their writ ran in Bellary, leading to a complete “collapse of administration” in the district that he calls the “Republic of Bellary” and how the Reddy brothers used political muscle power, manipulation and corrupt practices to make phenomenal profits out of iron ore. The prevailing system and officials were used by this cartel to the personal advantage of Janardhan Reddy and his family.
Janardhan Reddy also perfected what came to be called “zero risk system”, an elaborate profit sharing mechanism that involved government officials and other mine owners, but which posed no risk to him and those who did not oblige, were refused transport permits. When a Sr. Lokayukta official went to Bellary in September 2009 for an investigation, he was asked by his brother Somashekhara Reddy “whether he had taken permission of the Minister in-charge of Bellary” to enter the district that shows that the administration in Bellary has totally collapsed.
CBI investigations have revealed that Janardhana Reddy and his brothers owned six companies in foreign countries including Mauritius and Virgin Islands.
Mind you, the ruling BJP Govt knew all this but neither central or state BJP never took any action against Reddy brothers to stop this daylight robberies of public wealth.

No amount of wealth is enough. Look at some of our MLA & MP's! Central govt has boldly taken steps to punish few corrupt atleast!! Looks like many are in big Q and spending sleepless nights like Yeddy & family, Kumaranna & family to join Raja, Kalmadi...'s. Show one action against corrupt by state BJP's?!

Shanawaz kukkikatte...for the first time I thouhgt you made a good point but at the end of it you ....:) you started with the good note and ended your statement with no diffrent ideology than what you usually project. So at the end of its advani doing yathra and you writing things like this i one and the same. Instead of blaming BJP or advani in the start you made your point towards the end. You are also no diffrent. Jai HO

Why we are fighting with each other in this free forum either as supporters of congress or critics of BJP when all parties and their leaders are following one simple principle of corruption, mint money, loot the country and buy benami properties in India and abroad.. We are fools.. We must united under one singe umbrella and defeat these anti national forces... These goons, to hide their agena and divert public attention, either create communual disharmony and encash the situation to their benefits. If congress are the leaders in corruption, BJP has taken over this position from them in short tenure.... We the educated people of coastal karnataka are blind to whats happening in and around us..Its the high time that we wake up from our deep slumber get united and say no to all these thugs who loot tax payers money and our state wealth... Shameless creatures on this planet....Why Advani is taking anti corruption yatra when his own party members are indulging in record corruption. Is it not an eyewash politics from the saffron supremo????
