Dubai: ‘17th Stan Nite’ stuns with grand success

Dubai, May 2: The ‘17th Stan Nite’, Stan Musical Concert held at Emirates Theatre on April 28, was an overwhelming success.

The star of the show, Stan Mendonca, along with talented co-singers, mesmerized the audience with soulful renditions of Konkani hits, creating an unforgettable musical journey.

Ronald Colaco, Martin Aranha, Lancy D’Souza, Michael D’Souza, Ronald Martis, Nelson Rodriks, James Mendonca, Sr Jacintha, Dayan D’Souza and the man behind the idea of the 17th Stan Nite – Joseph Mathias, were present. These dignitaries added prestige and honour to the event and showcased their unwavering support of Konkani culture. Their presence served as a beacon, inspiring others to aspire to greatness and showcasing the richness of heritage.

Each of the co-singers Joseph Mathias, Dony Correa, Melwyn Antony D’Souza, Aenson Mathais, Priyanka Maria D’Souza, Disha Pasanna, Sheetal D’Souza and Ashvija Mendonsa whose exceptional vocal prowess and stage presence contributed to the magic of the evening. Together, they created an enchanting musical journey that will be cherished for years to come.

The musical concert was a truly enriching experience, filled with songs that resonated with the culture and traditions of Mangaluru. The crowd thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the songs that were performed. Embracing and celebrating cultural heritage through music is a beautiful way to stay connected to one’s roots.

The evening was not only filled with captivating melodies but also had entertaining short skits by ‘Sangon Mugdana Kalakar’. Kudos to the brilliant actors Pradeep Barboza Paladka, Laveena Fernandes, Godwin Castelino, Royston Kiran D’Souza, and the writers who brought these skits to life. From witty humor to heartfelt moments providing moments of pure entertainment and enjoyment for all in attendance.

Electrifying dance performances by ‘Tru Entertainers’ team under the leadership of Nickshan D’Souza kept the audience enthralled throughout the night. Nithin, Mervin, Jeethan, Shyam, Cynthia, Jenivia, Dafney and Ann poured their hearts into each performance, mesmerizing the crowd with their professional dancing skills and creativity. From graceful movements to energetic routines, the dancers illuminated the stage with their talent and passion, adding an extra dimension of excitement and entertainment to the concert.

At the heart of it, all was the incredible band ‘Bandscape’, whose musical brilliance set the stage on fire and provided the perfect backdrop for every moment of the concert. Their seamless fusion of melodies and rhythms created an electrifying atmosphere, igniting the audience's passion and leaving them craving for more. The contribution of Darrel Mascarenhas, Prashanth Sequeira, Floyd Pereira, Patson Pereira was instrumental in making the Stan Musical Concert an unforgettable experience.

The talented emcee, Joseph Sequeira, who traveled from England to the UAE and whose exceptional skills and charisma kept the concert running smoothly from start to finish. Co-hosts, Dony Correa and Roshan D'Silva, whose vibrant personalities and engaging presence brought warmth and joy to the stage. Their ability to keep things crisp and to the point ensured that the event finished on time, without compromising on the entertainment value or the audience's enjoyment.

Joseph Mathias, who took the initiative and introduced Stan Mendonca to the Konkani lovers of the UAE was also thanked.

As a surprise, in recognition of his tireless efforts as a champion of Konkani languages and advocate for Konkani-speaking communities, Joseph Mathias has been honoured with the title 'Kalakarancho Patron' by his devoted fans. His wife Flavia Mathias was also called onto the stage and was honoured in recognition of her continuous support in everything that Joseph does.

    First of all thanks to programme orgainzers. The programme was emcyeed by Dony and Roshan . I am truly admirer of second personality Roshan. He is multi talented with many feathers to his success. Fondly addressed BB2. Whenver i am depressed i am going to you tube and watch his VASUNDHARA tulu song. Especially likes his yodelling skills . Hip hip hurray Roshan and wish you many more success to in future. Stay blessed and rock when you get similar opporutunities....
