Sullia, Oct 13:
The Kannada medium schools in the border taluks will be saved at any cost by the state Government even if the number of students declines, asserted chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda.

He was speaking at the inauguration of Kannada Nudi Teru campaign organized to create awareness about the Kannada language and culture here on Wednesday October 12.

Speaking after his felicitation at the home town on the same occasion, DVS said that he would not make money and be corrupt like some of the politicians; instead he would strive hard for the developmental works, for the over-all progress of the state. Whatever he does would be known to the laymen, there would always transparency in his rule, he assured.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Veerendra Heggade said that Tulu and Kannada languages are equivalent to two mothers of Lord Krishna. The people of this region have the credit of preserving and carrying out the rich cultural heritage to the next generation. D V Sadananda Gowda becoming the chief minister of state is yet another proud feel for the taluk, said Heggade. He also said that if the facilities and infrastructure of Kannada-medium schools are improved they would surely attract more number of students.

Chairman of the Kannada Development Authority Mukhyamantri Chandru said that due to the increasing number of English medium schools the Kannada medium schools are facing threat. The students of this state should know the richness of Kannada language and only school level emphasize on Kannada can make it happen, he opined.

CM also laid the foundation stone for DK district’s first Kannada Bhavan at Sullia which would be constructed in a year using the special grants allotted by Kannada Development Authority.

Krishna J Palemar, Yogish Bhat, Naleen Kumar Kateel, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, Sr Chennappa Gowda among others dignitaries were present on the occasion.

Whatever said by CM is only for public-sake.If he is really honest,he must punish those politicians who are corrupt including his colleagues!

He is remote-controlled by YEDDY & his CHELAS.

He is making monkey of himself in the public.

He will finish his term as CM only by visiting temples & receiving blessings.
I bet India will never propell into a developed nation until these blood sucking, corrupt politicians are there. We need young people in politics

We can see how much our country is developed over 64 years post Independence.

What is he talking of saving Kannada Medium School, in English Medium School also there is a subject called Kannada. Is it not enough to learn Kannada. Its better to study a International Launguage and be fluent with it instead of speaking in butler English like saying " He was laughing at me, I could not remember who he was".

Dear DVS, You will not make money like other politicians. Whatever you made with the support of Yeddis & Reddies, more than enough for many generations. Why can’t you say ‘I wont allow other politicians to make money’ and prove it. Now you allow others to make money like Reddy’s & Company. Otherwise you can not survive on that hot seat. I am not a supporter of Congress. In my opinion every politician is a corrupt, shameless and blood sucker.

Yes sir we agree that you are very honest person and will work for the development of our state but what will you do when your ministers and thier cronies make money released for the development? What about Yeddy's say in all your decision making and we feel he is remote controlling you as he has quite few MLA's with him. What about Somanna who known to be corrupt and one more minister in your cabinet accused of ditching lots of people and is a turn coat of Congress? Get these people out and you will succeed.
