New Delhi, Oct 13 (IANS): The explosives laden found in the parking lot of the Ambala Cantt railway station was to be used in the national capital, Delhi Police officials said Thursday.

"We recovered explosives from a Tata Indica car and the consignment was meant for Delhi…," Arun Kampani, deputy commissioner of police, Special Cell, told reporters here.

"Central intelligence agencies had informed us that a module of the Lashkar-e-Taiba was active in Jammu and Kashmir," he added.

He said that the explosives had been brought by LeT and they were meant to be used by Babbar Khalsa International in Delhi.

Acting on a tip-off, Haryana Police, along with a special team of Delhi Police, had found an abandoned Indica car Wednesday evening with five kg of explosives, a timer and detonators. Police waited for the owner of the car and then opened it to find the explosives.
