Kasargod, May 7: In a tragic accident on Tuesday, May 7, three individuals lost their lives in a collision involving an ambulance and a car on the national highway in Manjeshwar.
The deceased, identified as Srinath, Sharath, and Memon, residents of Thrissur and Guruvayur, were involved in the accident. The patient in the ambulance sustained injuries.
The ambulance, traveling from Kasargod to Mangaluru, collided with the car heading in the opposite direction from Mangaluru. While two victims died at the scene, the third passed away from injuries at the hospital. The car suffered severe damage.
The accident occurred on NH66, where construction work is ongoing. The driver, along with the passengers, who were en route from Kollur, mistakenly entered the one-way lane.
A case has been registered at the Manjeshwar police station.
