Kundapur, May 9: A pedestrian lost her life after being struck by a bus while walking along NH 66 near Kirimanjeshwara on Thursday, May 9.

Upon receiving the report, authorities including the Byndoor police, highway police, NHAI patrol vehicle, circle inspector Savitra Tej, and police officer Mahesh swiftly responded to the scene and initiated investigations.

Praveen Achari, Natar Nagooru, 24x7 Ibrahmi Gangolli, and Samir Kirimanjeshwara assisted in transporting the deceased's body to the Byndoor mortuary.

    We have lost count of the number of accidents due to senseless bus drivers. Will this ever come to an end? Authorities please open up your eyes and take necessary steps to stop such unfortunate events happen again. RIP dear victim!

    None of the roads have footpaths for pedestrians. No action is ever taken against bus drivers for reckless driving and honking. Lanes are not properly marked even on new roads. We people never question or protest for these important issues until someone from our own house dies. Therefore we deserve such things.
