Praveen Nettaru was brutally murdered on the night of July 26, 2022, by miscreants. Several individuals have already been arrested in connection with the case. The NIA had issued a lookout notice for Mustafa and announced a reward of Rs five lac for informants.

In January 2023, NIA submitted a chargesheet against 20 people regarding the case. According to the chargesheet, Praveen's murder was part of a plot to create panic among members of a particular community and instigate fear and communal hatred in society.

The first maidan report from BJP by then Karnataka home minister Araga when Praveen Nettaru was murdered is it was a internal fight between two groups of BJP and Nettaru’s murder was the result of that fight. Now BJP has Modified and twisted the story for media attention and election campaigning. BJP is capable of buying anybody for money for guest artiste role and there are many jobless people like they used drunkard and penniless destitute s to throw stones at churches and vandalise cemeteries. It’s all BJP’s creation and invention just like Sandeshkali fake story.

Every life is valuable, but only for their families, not for politicians. If politicians give importance to human life, every such incident will be dealt with strict punishment, beyond religion, caste. Life of Praveen or Fazil, Neha Hiremath or Meena, who killed yesterday, all are equally valuable.
