Udupi, May 10: The Manipal Surgical Oncology Conference, MASOCON 2024, hosted by the Department of Surgical Oncology at Kasturba Medical College Manipal, unfolded on May 10 and 11 at the esteemed Dr T M A Pai Auditorium, KMC Manipal.
Attended by over 120 delegates and distinguished faculty members representing various oncology disciplines nationwide, who were mainly from various oncology disciplines across India, the conference served as a pivotal platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
In the inaugural session, luminaries including Dr. Shailesh V Shrikande, deputy director and head of Cancer Surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, Dr Prasad S S, head - Department of Surgery, Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, Manipal, Dr Naveena Kumar A N, Head of the Department of Surgical Oncology, and Dr Nawaz Usman, unit head of the Department of Surgical Oncology at Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, Manipal, graced the occasion with their esteemed presence.
Dr Shailesh V Shrikande, sharing insights, emphasized the significance of such conferences in advancing surgical oncology practices nationwide. He stressed the importance of education, learning, and research, stating that these aspects deserve greater attention
