Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (MS)

Puttur, May 13: Uppinangady police confiscated three cattle being illegally transported in a pickup truck at Padmunja and filed a case against three individuals.

Acting on a specific tip-off, sub-inspector Bharath Kumar V and his team from the Uppinangady police station intercepted the pickup truck en route from Padmunja to Kuppetti. Upon inspection, they discovered three cattle tied in an inhumane manner inside the vehicle.

During questioning, the driver, Rakshith, revealed that the cattle were sold by Padmunja Domba Gowda to Shakeer of Uruvalupadavu for slaughter. The police rescued one cow, one calf, and one bull, and apprehended driver Rakshith.

A case has been registered against Domba Gowda, Shakeer, and Rakshith in connection with this incident.

Dear farmers, Please dont sell cattle locally. BJP agents slaughter houses have been operating effectively in UP and MP. They need to export beef to Gulf and earn in dollars. So just send useless cattle to Gowshala , slaughter house agents will take care of other arrangements.
