Mangaluru: International Nurses Day celeberation held at SCS Hospital

Mangaluru, May 13: SCS Hospital Pvt Ltd, Upper Bendore, celebrated International Nursing Day 2024 at their hospital auditorium on May 12. The chief guest for the day was Namratha Bolar, principal Government Nursing College, Wenlock, Mangaluru.

The chief guest mentioned in her key note address that the nurses are empowering the nation and that they are the back-bone of the health-care system while explaining this year’s theme for International Nurses Day, namely ‘Our Nurses, Our Future – The Economic Power Of Care’. Anitha - faculty member, Wenlock College of Nursing, Dr Shalini S Rao, medical superintendent, SCS Hospital, Dr Shewtha M C, anesthesiologist, SCS Hospital, Gracamma Antony, nursing superintendent, SCS Hospital were present on this occasion.

Sakeetha Shetty, OT incharge and senior staff member was recognized and awarded for her outstanding performance, service, hardwork and dedication. International Nurses Day is commemorated very well by the hospital every year as the hospital believes that by empowering the nursing fraternity, the community well-being is taken care of.

The very talented nurses of the hospital presented cultural events such as songs, dance, games and general knowledge quiz programmes and prizes was distributed to the winners on the occasion.
