Mangaluru: Cultural fest TIARA 2024 successfully concluded at SJEC

Mangaluru, May 14: TIARA 2024, the three-day techno cultural fest organized by St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru was successfully concluded on 11 May at the college basketball court with colourful award ceremony followed by DJ night by popular DJ Aerreo.

Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, director of SJEC, Fr Kenneth R Crasta, assistant director, Dr Rio D’Souza, principal of SJEC, Dr Purushothama Chippar, vice principal and Mr Rakesh Lobo, HR manager of the college were present during the valedictory programme on 11 May along with the staff conveners of the fest, Roopesh and Chaitra U R. The student conveners of the event, Vinol A D'Souza and Alva Shwetha Shivaprasad were also present on the occasion.

The three-day fest witnessed participation of students from across the region in a series of technical, non-technical as well as cultural events displaying their skills and competencies. Apart from the techno-cultural events, the major attractions of the fest included the battle of bands & battle of DJs on the first day, the cultural programme and the award ceremony on the third day.

The prizes and trophies for all the events held over the 3 days of the fest were given away during the award ceremony. AJIET, Mangalore bagged the overall championship in the engineering category while NMAMIT, Nitte was awarded as the overall runners-up.

Under the non-engineering category, SDM college of Business Management, Mangalore won the overall championship and St. Agnes College, Mangalore bagged the overall runners-up trophy.

The management of SJEC congratulated the prize winners of the event Tiara 2024 and appreciated the efforts of the organising committee of Tiara 2024 for the grand success of the event. Sweedel & Aveen compered the programme.
