Mangaluru, May 16: Kannada actor-director Raj B Shetty is all set to star alongside superstar Mammootty in Malayalam film ‘Turbo’.

Turbo's trailer has finally arrived, teasing audiences with the promise of a high-octane action comedy featuring the unstoppable Mammootty at its core.

The 133-second preview wastes no time in introducing Jose (played by Mammootty), affectionately known as Turbo Jose for his extraordinary action prowess. Throughout the trailer, one can catch glimpses of Jose engaging in intense fights. However, his reign is threatened when he encounters another formidable adversary (portrayed by Raj B Shetty), leading to a showdown that leaves Jose perplexed about the circumstances that led to their conflict.

But Turbo is not all about action; the trailer also offers a glimpse of the film's comedic elements, ensuring a well-rounded cinematic experience.

Directed by Vysakh, known for his work on Pulimurugan, and penned by Midhun Manuel Thomas, the mastermind behind Anjaam Pathiraa and Abraham Ozler, Turbo is produced by Mammootty himself under the banner of Mammootty Kampany, renowned for successful projects like Kaathal – The Core, Kannur Squad, Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, and Rorschach.

The film boasts a diverse cast, with notable names such as Kannada actor-director Raj B Shetty and Telugu star Sunil in pivotal roles. Joining them are Anjana Jayaprakash, Kabir Duhan Singh, Siddique, Shabareesh Varma, and Dileesh Pothan.

With cinematography by Vishnu Sarma, editing by Shameer Muhammed, and music composed by Christo Xavier, Turbo is set to hit screens worldwide on May 23. Distributed by Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films in India, the film promises to deliver adrenaline-pumping action and side-splitting comedy in equal measure.
