Byndoor, May 21: Members of the public and family of the deceased SSLC student, who killed himself for refusal to give him a Transfer Certificate (TC) to join PU college by Byndoor PU college high school authorities, held a protest in front of Byndoor police station calling for the arrest of those who abetted his suicide while also providing suitable justice.
Family members of the deceased boy expressed their grief and said that culprits should be arrested and that they will not hold the final rites of the boy until arrests are made.
DySP of Kundapura Belliappa, probationary IPS officer Dr Harsha Priyamvada and Byndoor CI Savitra Tez held discussions with the public and said that investigations are already on and the case is being considered as serious as the deceased boy is a student. Within a week suitable report will be published after holding interrogation, they promised. They also said that action without any mercy will be taken against the culprits if clarity is available.
Village elders, social leaders and locals instilled confidence among the members of the family of the deceased boy. Later his mortal remains were taken home to conduct the final rites.
