Bahrain, May 25: The Mogaveers Bahrain organization, representing the NRI Mogaveera community, has entered its 20th year of existence in the island nation. Over the years, the organization has responded to the needs and events of the NRI Mogaveera community in Bahrain and their native place.

Recently, at the general body meeting, Shilpa Shamith Kunder was unanimously elected as the president, marking the first time a woman has held this position in the history of Mogaveers Bahrain. Previously serving as vice president, Shilpa is well-known for her pro-social approach and dedication to the community. She is the daughter of Mukka Mitrapatna Shekhar Kotian and Vasanti Shekhar Kotian. Having lived in Bahrain for the past 20 years, she holds a top position at an international bank. Her husband, Shamith Kundar, works at the International Monetary Fund and has been a strong supporter of her community efforts.

Shilpa has consistently contributed to social and religious initiatives in her native place. As Mogaveers Bahrain prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary with grandeur, the Kannadiga community in Bahrain looks forward to continued service and leadership from Shilpa.
