Mangaluru, May 27: State BJP president BY Vijayendra stated, "Sincerity is synonymous with Dakshina Kannada, where every party representative worked relentlessly during the election and put in a lot of effort. We should ensure that our candidates, Dr Dhananjay Sarji and SL Bhojegowda, achieve a significant victory."

He was speaking during the campaign for the south west teachers and graduates election on Monday, May 27. Vijayendra said, "We have witnessed the Congress government's failures over the past year, where law and order have completely collapsed, development has halted, and funds have been mismanaged. The state government shows no concern for the education department. The BJP has always prioritized education, unlike the Congress government, which has neglected this crucial sector. No new programs, schemes, or foundation stones have been initiated for any projects in the last year."

He added, "As the state BJP president, I will work tirelessly to strengthen the party, meet your expectations, and ensure that the BJP wins with a majority in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections."

South west graduate candidate Dr Dhananjaya Sarji and south west teachers’ candidate SL Bhojegowda also addressed the gathering.

Other attendees included MLA Rajesh Naik, Umanath Kotian, Harish Poonja, Bhageerathi Murulya, BJP general secretary Sunil Kumar, former MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, district MP candidate Capt. Brijesh Chowta, Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP candidate Kota Srinivas Poojary, former MLC Prathapsimha Nayak, district JDS youth president Akshith Suvarna, and others.
