Kundapur: Pedestrian killed by speeding bus on NH 66

Kundapur, May 28: A pedestrian was killed when a private bus hit him near President Convention Hall on Thekkattee Kannukere NH 66 on Sunday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Rama Madiwala Kannukere (59).

He was walking on the roadside towards his home when a private bus traveling from Udupi to Kundapur at breakneck speed hit him. Rama, who suffered grievous head injuries, died on the spot.

Rama Madiwala had been working as a labourer in a tile factory in Halady for many years. He is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.

Kota police station officer Tejaswi rushed to the spot and registered a case against the bus driver.
