Kundapur, May 29: At a press conference held at the Kundapur press club, SP Dinesh, the candidate for the south-west graduate's constituency, expressed his determination for the upcoming election. He highlighted his previous candidacies in 2012 and 2018, where he narrowly lost by a small margin of votes. Emphasizing that his current competition is not with party leaders but with a defector, Dinesh urged voters to use the pen provided by the booth official and mark their vote for him in the priority election scheduled for June 3.

Dinesh pointed out the vastness of the constituency, spanning 30 Vidhan Sabha constituencies, six Lok Sabha constituencies, and six districts. Having contested twice before, he claimed to have established connections with the voters. However, he expressed disappointment that despite assurances of a ticket from party elders ten months prior, he was overlooked at the last moment in favour of a candidate from another party who had switched allegiances multiple times. According to Dinesh, this candidate had even insulted senior party leaders Siddaramaiah and Rahul Gandhi.

Expressing his dismay, Dinesh underscored his adherence to the values of Gandhi culture and his rapport with the electorate. He predicted a head-to-head contest between himself and Raghupati Bhat.

Ishwar Siddu was present in the news conference.
