Dubai Dance Cup 2024 by Karnataka Sangha ignites city with rhythmic spectacle

Dubai, May 29: Karnataka Sangha Dubai’s Dance Extravaganza event of the year, “Dubai Dance Cup-2024,” was organized on May 26 at the Indian Academy School auditorium.

The dance contest saw an increased number of audiences and contestants, which made the full-day event filled with exciting performances in all age categories.

The Dubai Dance Cup was inaugurated by celebrity judge Dr Sanjay Shantaram and his disciple Kaushik Gangadhar, joined by Karnataka Sangha Dubai president Shashidhar Nagarajappa, vice president Daya Kirodian, general secretary Manohar Hegde, joint secretary Mallikarjuna Gowda, treasurer Nagaraj Rao, patron Ronald Martis, advisor Jayanth Shetty, and other dignitaries. There were a total of seven other judges who flagged off the event with the best message. Sangha patrons Dr B K Yusuf and Harish Bangera’s best wishes for the event were conveyed in their absence. Founder member Sudhakar Rao Pejavar gave a brief introduction to Karnataka Sangha Dubai’s founding days and the following 39 years of the Sangha legacy.

Impressive judges were brought to the venue in an exclusive limousine, which has been portrayed as the trademark of the event.

The judge lineup for the Dubai Dance Cup 2024 was:

• Dance Judges: Dr Sanjay Shantaram, Shilpa Nair, Yathish Amin, and Devanshi Nrittya
• Drawing and Rangoli Judges: Ganesh Rai, Susmitha Dhruva
• Solo Acting: Vishwanath Shetty, Pinky Rani

The prestigious Dubai Dance Cup was contested by a total of 20 teams across all categories, with over 240 performers. The Drawing and Rangoli competition was also fierce, with over 100 contestants.

The event saw an enthralled audience base of over 1300 people who stayed excited throughout the event. They were offered a free lunch by Karnataka Sangha Dubai and a variety of exhibits and food stalls to shop at.

The event was well supported by its title sponsor, The Futurearth Group, a real estate developer based in Bangalore, represented by Monika Mandanna, who gave an introduction to their extensive offering of premium villa plots in Bengaluru.

Another platinum sponsor The Puravankara was represented by Pavan Kumar, the VP, and their consultant, Nagesh Udupi, explained the legacy of the developer and their extensive lineup of projects in Karnataka.

The event was meticulously planned and flawlessly executed by Karnataka Sangha Dubai’s executive committee members, Radhika Satish, Harish Kodi, Siddalingesh B R, Yuvaraj Devadiga, Sunil Gavaskar, Lawrence Nazereth, Vinutha K S, Brunda Manjunath, Shwetha Jadav, Mohammed Shameer, and other event committee members and Gulf Geleyaru group volunteers.

Yet another spectacle was to see the seasoned anchors, Kavya Yuvaraj and Naveen Bharadhwaj, who showcased their hosting par excellence and were very well appreciated as an asset to the Karnataka community in Dubai.

Dubai Dance Cup 2024 was well backed by all major associations; their event attendees were Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha president Sarvotham Shetty, Spraytek MD Ramachandra Hegde, Suchit Kumar, Vollakigara Sangha U.A.E. president Kiran Gowda, Billava Balaga president Deepak, Mangalore Konkans president James Mendonca, UAE Mogaveers Balakrishna Salian, Dubai Vokkaligara Sangha president Dr Rashmi Nandkishore, and Sugandh Raj Bekal. Novels Almeda, Premjith, Sudarshan Hegde, Ishwaridas Shetty, and Vasudev Shetty. The event also witnessed the finest singers giving their voices to the Kannada melodies: Ashok Anchan, Dr Santosh Kemmunje, Dinesh Doddanagudde, Sunaknya Sharath, Nagabhushana Kashyap, Ramachandra Bedradka, Ranjith Mogaru, and Soumya Kaushik.

A special feature of supporting families’ pictures being featured on the main screen with the theme “Namma Kutumba” was received very well.

Drawing and Rangoli competitions, guest hospitality, and momento distribution were well executed by Roopa Shashidhar, Jyothi Mallikarjun, Silpa Siddalingesh, Mamatha Razak, Kavya Jogi, Bindu Mahadev, Vinutha Suresh, Chetana Gavaskar and Sandhya.

The event witnessed the uproar of joyful cheers during the award ceremony, where fans applauded their winning teams being felicitated with a Dance Cup trophy, a certificate, a medal, a cash prize, gift hampers, and B-Twon F&B vouchers for all winners, judges, and anchors.
