Bantwal: Madrasa teacher displays honesty, returns Rs 2.43 lac cash found on road

Bantwal, May 30: A madrasa teacher displayed honesty by returning Rs 2.43 lakh in cash that he found on Kelaginapete Road in the taluk.

Abdul Mazeed Faizi, a teacher at Manazul Islam Madrasa, was crossing the road at Kelaginapete on the morning of May 28 when he found a bundle of cash lying on the road. When he opened it, he discovered currency notes inside. He immediately reported the matter to the Madrasa administrative committee.

When the administrative committee verified with the locals, they discovered that the bundle of currency notes belonged to Sripati Srikant Bhat, a local resident. Bhat arrived at the Madrasa, retrieved the cash from Abdul Mazeed Faizi, and expressed his gratitude.
