Udupi: Uppoor PDO, bill collector caught accepting bribe for land records

Udupi, May 30: Inayat Ullah Baig, PDO of Uppoor, and bill collector Sanjaya were apprehended by Lokayukta officials while accepting a bribe to provide land records numbered 9 and 11.

The Lokayukta police conducted a raid when the duo was in the process of accepting a bribe of Rs 13,300 from Ravi D'Lima.

The operation, directed by Lokayukta SP Nataraj, was led by DySP K C Prakash and involved police inspector Manjunath and Rafiq.

Both accused individuals have been remanded to judicial custody until June 12.

    Here we have blame ourself. Because we pay them extra to done our job faster. And one more thing if we do not bribe the work not done or take long time or they do it incorrect . As long as all the people United and raised voice until then these things will go on.

    This disease is old and never be treated.Will remain forever.One is caught but ten or more are still enjoying this without knowledge of Public.When you see this is the small amount comparing what others are longing.Shame on these type of people.Honesty is long back disappeared.

    Catch others in Land departments & Municipality where every table wants to get paid to do the job. No paper moves if it doesn't carry any weight. This is ridiculous.. I am sure everyone who have gone through this process have experienced this

    these people enjoyed life under the 40% sarkar of chaddis....but ab bachke nahin javoge...satya devathe...nyaya murthi...Lord Siddaraya ruling....khaki and lokayukta sakt...no jaath paath....criminals are criminals...karu nadu will be clean of corruption and bribe within a year.....subiksha kaal for women and children and men also....temple bhattas full kush...already bought many plots and are building houses....nearby businesses auto rickshaw taxi thriving...hotels making goood business..enjoy the peaceful and kushi life under Congrress..say permanent tata bye bye to the blue j pigs....
