Mangaluru: Valedictory ceremony of free tailoring training for women held

Mangaluru, May 31: Valedictory function of six months of free tailoring training that was organized by Samanvaya Seva organization and Catholic Sabha Bajpe unit was held on May 30 at the auditorium of Parochial higher primary school.

The programme was presided over by Dr Ronald Cutinha, parish priest of Bajpe parish and architect of Samanvaya organization. He congratulated the 16 women who received certificate of training. He also explained the service activities of Samanvaya of the past 26 years.

Dr Pius Pinto, manager of Samanvaya, Leo Sequeira, president of Catholic Sabha Bajpe unit and Stany D’Souza, vice president of pastoral committee were the chief guests. Stany D’Souza handed over the certificates. Tailoring trainer Rekha Mohan was felicitated on the occasion.

Philanthropists Arun Pinto, Nancy Fernandes and Vincent D’Costa were honoured by presenting mementos. Students Sharal D’Souza and Ujwal shared their opinions about the training.

Secretary of pastoral committee Gracy Sequeira and others were present on the dais. Sharal Mathias welcomed. Freed D’Souza rendered vote of thanks. Frenita Tauro compered the event.
