Hubballi, May 31: Former BJP chief minister Basavaraj Bommai has demanded that SIT must probe the Hassan JDS MP Prajwal Revanna sex scandal from all angles and justice must be done the victims.

Speaking to media persons in Hubballi on Friday, he said he was happy that Prajwal Revanna, who had gone abroad and eluded SIT cops for over a month, has finally returned and duly arrested by the SIT at the Kempegowda Airport itself upon his arrival from Germany.

Bommai claimed that ‘Prajwal Revanna has surrendered legally in connection with pen drive case’ and said the demand from the people was that it must be probed in impartial manner and ensure justice for the victims.

“The SIT investigation must include how this scam came to light? Who released it? Who had that pen drive? Why they have been arrested?” he said.

The BJP leader claimed that “this issue has been politicised. It was not legal to distribute such materials and even that must be probed by the SIT sleuths.”

Demand for Nagendra’s resignation

With regard to the alleged suicide of Chandrashekhar, an employee of the Valmiki Corporation, Bommai said it was a fit case for a CBI probe since there has been involvement of a bank.

“As per the banking rules, any transaction over Rs 10 crore must be investigated by the CBI. Minister Nagendra must resign and the Congress leaders must recall how both Siddaramaiah and D K Shivakumar spoke while they were in opposition.”

Asked about Shivakumar's claim that his political opponents have got the blackmagic against him, Bommai said he was not aware of it as the ‘accuser knows yaaga or homas’.
