Beltangady, May 31: School reopening ceremony was held in Holy Redeemer English Medium School on May 31 in the school auditorium.

The vibrant beats of school band marked the beginning of the day.

The programme began by lighting the lamp and invoking blessings of the almighty through a prayer service. Newly-appointed staff members were welcomed by the correspondent.

Teachers entertained the students with a beautiful welcome dance and a meaningful wishing song.

Correspondent Fr Walter D'Mello accorded a message of beginning the new year with zeal and enthusiasm. Headmaster Fr Clifford Simon Pinto whole heartedly welcomed all the students for the new academic year and gave general instructions.

The programme concluded with the singing of the school anthem. The event was comperered by Saritha Rodrigues.
