Mangaluru: New Academic Year Opens its Petals of Blessings - St Theresa's School, Bendur

Mangaluru, Jun 1: Every academic year begins with a fresh wave of motivation and inspiration. It offers a chance for a new beginning and an opportunity to build on the successes of the previous year.

The senior cabinet members conducted an assembly to greet the students and signal the start of the new session as the 2024–25 academic year got underway. The assembly commenced invoking God's blessings through a prayer session followed by words of welcome.

To start the year on a positive note and create a sense of joy and camaraderie, a fun-filled quiz was conducted to engage students and bring smiles to their faces.

The theme of the assembly was 'HAPPY'- Having a Positive and Productive Year. The cabinet members delivered a message to the students based on the theme, encouraging them to be focused, punctual, collaborate as a team and take advantage of every chance they encounter this academic year.

Sr Lourdes, the principal, greeted teachers and students with warmth and enthusiasm, acknowledging their presence and contribution to the school community. She urged the students to FOCUS on academics and values and keep away from electronic gadgets which distracts them from their goal. She outlined the school's values, rules, and guidelines, ensuring that students understood their responsibilities as members of the school community.

Newly appointed staff were introduced and a warm welcome was accorded to them. In her concluding address the principal expressed her confidence in the students' abilities to excel and thrive in the upcoming academic year and extended heartfelt wishes. The students were happy to meet their friends and teachers after a long break. It was a significant and meaningful assembly.
