Mangaluru: Campus placement drive 2024 held at St Aloysius ITI campus

Mangaluru, Jun 1: ‘Campus Placement Drive-2024’ was held at St Aloysius ITI campus to provide students with opportunities to start their professional careers.

As many as 55 companies had participated in this drive. The placement drive witnessed participation from several prestigious companies and a high level of enthusiasm from the students.

Companies are constantly on the lookout for efficient employees and the students are searching for the good companies to kick start their career. A total of 260 students participated in the campus placement drive.

Convener of the programme along with N Shashank, student council president escorted the dignitaries to the dais.

The programme began with a prayer song which was led by Wilson, JTO. The inauguration was done with lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. president of the programme, Fr John D’Souza SJ, director, St Aloysius ITI, chief guest Ronald Gomes, founder & managing director, Sunray Solar Pvt. Ltd, Mangaluru; Roshan D’Souza, principal; Noel Lobo, training officer, Alwyn Menezes, vice-principal; Ashwin D’Souza, convener of the programme; N Shashank, student council, president; representatives from the esteemed companies, teaching and non-teaching staff, candidates from various ITI’s participating in this drive were present.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Ronald Gomes said, "Youths are the strength of the country. We must guide them in a proper path and it is their duty to follow it. You will get many opportunities in your life but it is important how you make use of it. As the technology gets updated, we must get updated. From time to time update and upgrade yourself. You must be confident and not be afraid of anything."

Delivering the presidential address Fr John D'Souza SJ said, "You should work in a company for at least one year so that you get work experience. The companies must train their employees. You must work in a company with which you are satisfied, because your health also matters. Do not run behind money."

Ashwin D'Souza, convener of the programme proposed a vote of thanks. Vanditha Rego compered the programme.
