Mangaluru: Milagres College starts new courses for academic year 2023-24

Mangaluru, Jun 1: Understanding the importance of skill development, in addition to the degree programmes the college has introduced add on course among various valued added programmes in its schedule for the welfare of students. Add on course for the academic year 2023-24 commenced from September 15, 2023 with a formal inauguration programme.

Classes were held every Saturday between 11.40 am and 12.40 pm. 15 add-on courses of 30 hours duration each were conducted for the academic year. Add-on Courses like computer and Tally, Home stead skills, Spoken English, Soft Skills, Personal Investment, Event Management, Photography, GST, Beautician, Yoga, Journalism, Dance and Drama, Culinary Arts, startup,Craft and Embroidery and First Aid were planned for the students each with its own curriculum.

Eminent resource persons were appointed for the classes: Gopalakrishna Delampady for Yoga, CA Dylan Rebello for GST, Johan Pinto for Personal Investment, Molly Vas for First Aid, Rajeev K Shenoy for Photography , Flany Dsouza as Beautician , Preksha Thej for Event Management, Vimarshini Devadiga for Dance and Drama , Harina Rao for Craft & Embroidery, Shribali Shetty for Soft skills, Rekha Gopal for Home Stead Skills, Vishwas U S for Start up, Reuben Machado for Journalism, Gladys Moraes for Spoken English, Denzil DCosta for Culinary Arts, Sushmitha Kumari U for Basic Computer and Tally.

Prathibha DSouza, FND Department served as the Coordinator for the add-on courses.
