Udupi, Jun 4: Toll charges at Hejmady, Talapady, and Sastan managed by Udupi Tollway Private Limited, which were scheduled for implementation in April but delayed due to Lok Sabha elections, have been revised starting June 3.
At the Hejmady toll plaza, the one-way travel charge for cars, jeeps, vans, and light motor vehicles (LMVs) remains at Rs 50. For vehicles returning within 24 hours, the fee is Rs 75. Monthly one-way passes cost Rs 1675, while the monthly pass for private vehicles is Rs 340 as specified by NHAI.
For light commercial vehicles (LCVs), goods vehicles, and mini buses, the one-way travel toll rate is Rs 80, with a return within 24 hours costing Rs 120. A monthly 50-time one-way pass is priced at Rs 2705.
For heavy vehicles and those with two axles, the one-way travel charge is Rs 170, with a return within 24 hours costing Rs 255. The monthly pass is set at Rs 5665.
Excavators and earth movers are charged Rs 265 for a one-way journey, Rs 400 for a return within 24 hours, and a monthly pass costs Rs 8885. Heavy-duty vehicles with seven axles incur a one-way charge of Rs 325, Rs 485 for a return within 24 hours, and a monthly pass costs Rs 10820.
These adjustments aim to ensure equitable toll collection while catering to various vehicle categories and usage frequencies.
