Mangaluru, Jun 4: Former MP Nalin Kumar Kateel addressed the media today, expressing his elation over the BJP's success in the Lok Sabha elections. Kateel praised the unwavering support of the district's people for the BJP, extending heartfelt congratulations to Capt. Brijesh Chowta for his victory.

"I heartily congratulate Capt. Brijesh Chowta for winning this election," said Kateel. "I genuinely believe that he will not just develop the district but transform it entirely." Kateel also commended Kota Srinivas Poojary for securing victory in the Udupi Constituency.

With the BJP party clinching 17 seats, Kateel emphasized the party's majority in Karnataka. "The BJP party has the majority in Karnataka," he affirmed.

Responding to inquiries about the narrow margin victory of the BJP in the district, Kateel attributed it to common shifts in politics. "Certain shifts are very common in politics," he remarked. "This time, despite the Congress offering many guarantees, the BJP secured a majority of over 150,000 votes."

Kateel also shared his satisfaction with the BJP's performance in Kerala. "I have worked during elections in Kerala, and I'm happy to say that the BJP party has opened its account in the state," he added.
