Kundapur: Woman Found Murdered at Home, Inside Job Suspected

Kundapur, Oct 21: In a shocking incident, a woman who was residing in a house near BTR Road, opposite Gandhi Maidan here was found murdered on Friday October 21 at around 10 am.
The deceased has been identified as Kusuma (48). Killers fled the scene immediately, it is learnt.
Police sources said that the Kusuma was wife of Ramanna, an employee of Karnataka Bank, Hangaloru branch. People in Kundapur were in absolute shock after the incident was reported.
Kusuma was working as an insurance agent and was known to be a soft-spoken lady. Locals said that she was friendly and cordial with the neighbours.
It is suspected that she might have been targeted by the murderers over some issue with a land dealing. Killers stabbed her on the chest and stomach and she succumbed to her injuries soon after.
The murderers are said to be known to her, as, just before the gory incident, she had offered them snacks and juice. This was revealed during preliminary investigation by the police.
As per the direction of Udupi SP Ravi Kumar, Kundapur SI Johnson D’Souza is investigating the case.
