Mangaluru: St Aloysius Gonzaga School observes World Environment Day

Mangaluru, Jun 6: St Aloysius Gonzaga School, observed World Environment Day by embracing the 2024 theme 'World Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience'.

During the special assembly held on June 5 principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ highlighted the theme and delivered a message on the urgency of restoring our planet The assembly featured a skit emphasizing the 2024 theme, followed by an action song titled 'Save Our Earth'.

The event aimed to highlight the importance of restoring ecosystems and building resilience to desertification and drought. Students from classes I to XII participated in activities where they proposed restoration ideas through captions, slogans, and drawings, which were showcased on bulletin boards. Vice principal Laurel D’Souza and Aparna Suresh were present.

The programme was coordinated by Bhindia and Lavanya, ensuring a meaningful and engaging observance of the day.
