Mangaluru, Jun 6: Expert PU College in Kodialbail marked World Environment Day by raising awareness about land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience on June 5. This year's global theme, 'Our Land. Our Future', emphasizes the critical need for sustainable land management, celebrated under the hashtag #GenerationRestoration.

The biology department's teaching faculty and enthusiastic students took to the streets with placards to educate the local community about the significance of environmental conservation. Their efforts highlighted practical steps that individuals and communities can take to contribute to the global movement for land restoration.

Expert PU College's observance of World Environment Day was a testament to their dedication to environmental education and action, inspiring the community to join the global cause for a healthier planet. Principal, coaching head, Karunkar Balkur and coaching head of the biology department, Lalitha Mallya were present.

Saudi Arabia will host the 2024 World Environment Day global celebrations, underscoring the international commitment to addressing environmental challenges. The global events reflect a unified effort towards creating a sustainable future, focusing on combating the adverse effects of desertification and promoting drought resilience.
