Mangaluru: World Environment Day celebrated at Ladyhill Victoria High School

Mangaluru, Jun 6: World Environment Day was celebrated at Ladyhill Victoria High School with great fervour and enthusiasm. The students of class XA and XB executed the programme.

The programme began with a prayer service. Lalitha welcomed and introduced the chief guest, teacher Roopa.

Significance of the day was described by Chaithanya and Sushmitha.

The programme comprised of a graceful dance depicting the importance of nature.

Chief guest, teacher Roopa, in her speech, motivated the students to preserve and save the environment.

A project was taken up wherein every student will plant a sapling in their house garden on their birthday and take care of it and update the school regarding the same. The project was introduced by the principal Sr Ujvala AC.

Kasha proposed a vote of thanks.
