    Hey Nagesh,
National roads may be maintained by the National Govt, but each driver maintains his own mind/action.
Over the months, u have the canny ability to anger people and if you see how many people have disliked your comment, it will tell you how foolhardy and illogical you are!

    Wish you good health!

The karnataka government must build street lights every where in karnataka and roads must be maintained. They must keep road signs especially on all busy roads.

Now a days the Bus & lorry drivers are thinking as if they are fying in the air they don't care for the small vehicles. At night lorry drivers r keeping stone on the accelerator paddle so my kind request is to install speed governor to all heavy vehicles.

Mangalore - udupi highway is a very risky road because of private buses and thier speed overtakings.I have seen many times a fraction of a seconds saved many accidents. My advice to the Karnataka Govt. Why not implement Metro service in the said route upto mangalore-mulki-udupi-manipal for a smooth journey for all of us.

Very Sad news , May the departed Soul Rest In Peace...

@Rudolf Rodrigues, Loretto/Mumbai/Mangalore-The private buses are driven rashly. Travelers should offer a special prayer to their deity for their safety. This was "A Government bus plying from Gadag to Mangalore collided" -

Kindly dont blame Private buses .Its not a joke to run private buses ,the bus owners have to pay taxes, maintenance & other charges . Nobody wants to lose life or kill someone else on purpose ,the private bus driver will not do it on purpose as well... blame the Government for they are the root cause for bad roads cause if maintained properly i think accidents can be prevented to a certain extent .

Very sad indeed, there are so many measures which can prevent road accidents like construction of pedestrian crossing, roundabouts, removeable of T-points into roundabouts, construction of solid divider between the road to prevent head on collision between vehicles coming from opposite direction.

This place is accident prone and motorists have to be extra cautious here. just 5 minutes when we wait at haleyangadi junction we can see all the over speeding vehicles with no safety rules followed. this accident could have been averted if both the drivers were not so rash and negligent in their act. god save the commuters and even the pedestrians on the road.

The road from Coondapur to Mangalore is a virtual death trap. The private buses are driven rashly. Travelers should offer a special prayer to their deity for their safety. 100s of lives have been lost and the accident rate is increasing with each passing day. Unless one way is done, only God save those who travel on this stretch......

ya its indeed sad to see this, but drivers should give priority to life rather then speed or to reach on time(specially on a highway where lots of expansion work is being carried on)
