Mangaluru: Heavy rains expected in coastal region from June 9

Mangaluru, Jun 7: Monsoon is expected to intensify in the coastal region of Karnataka. Yellow alert is declared on June 7 and 8, while orange alert is sounded for June 9 and 10. During these days possibility of heavy rains accompanied by high velocity winds is predicted by IMD.

Some parts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts received rains on Thursday. Most parts experienced cloudy weather with high humidity throughout the day.

In Mangaluru the highest recorded temperature was 31.2 deg C, 0.2 deg C more than usual. Lowest temperature recorded was 25.2 deg C, 0.2 deg C more than usual.
