Udupi, Jun 7: "Candidates cannot win without the influence of the BJP party, as proven by the MLC election,” said Kishore Kumar, president of the Udupi district BJP.

During the celebration of Dr Danajaya Sarji and S L Bhojegowda's MLC election victory on June 7, Kishore Kumar stated, "These next three years are election season. In the recent two elections, we have won with maximum leads. This is a winning season for the BJP. There may be differences of opinion during the selection of candidates, but once the candidate is chosen, everyone should work for their success. That is our loyalty. This is why we won all the seats in the Lok Sabha election in coastal Karnataka with maximum leads."

Commenting on Raghupati Bhat contesting as an independent candidate, Kishore Kumar said, "Even though Raghupati Bhat contested the MLC election as an independent candidate, all our party workers remained loyal and worked for the victory. This proves that regardless of the level of our influence, political parties are the only viable shelter. I congratulate the winning candidates and all the party workers for this success."

Udaya Kumar Shetty, the Mangaluru region in-charge, added, "Since 1988, we have consistently won the graduates' and teachers' constituency elections. In the last election, we lost due to some reasons; therefore, this year, all our party members took it as a challenge. Once they take it as a challenge, we are sure to win, even opposition party members agree with this. To mark a line, we should try to enlarge that line, not just reach it. I thank all the members who worked for this election."

Kuilady Suresh Nayak, former district BJP president, Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, Thingale Vikranrjuna Hegde, Rajesh Kaveri, Dinesh Amin, Sandya Ramesh, district president, Mahila Morcha, Prathvi Raj president Yuva Morcha were present.
