Kasargod: Rs 15.5 lac without valid documents confiscated

Kasargod, Jun 9: Vidyanagar police in the city confiscated Rs 15.5 lac in cash that was being transported without valid documents.

The police detained Latif alias Abdul Latif (42), a resident of Najila Apartments in Uliyathadka Varkattodi, for questioning and released him after inquiry.

The Vidyanagar police were conducting a vehicle check at Uliyattadka Petrol Pump when they stopped Abdul Latif. Upon inspection, they found Rs 15.5 lac in cash in a plastic cover. Notably, two months ago, the police had confiscated Rs 13.16 lac from the same person, also without valid documents.
