Mangaluru: CCB arrests three for plotting robbery, lethal weapons seized

Mangaluru, Jun 9: The Mangaluru CCB police have arrested three notorious accused who were plotting to rob wealthy individuals and businessmen in the Ullal Mukkachery area of Mangaluru city.

Previously involved in cases of murder, attempted murder, robbery, drug trafficking, and other crimes, this gang was reportedly planning a robbery armed with deadly weapons in the Ullal Mukkachery area. Acting on a tip-off, the Mangaluru CCB police raided the spot and arrested the following notorious accused - Muhammad Sameer Ali alias Kadapara Sameer (33), resident of Kiliriya Nagar, Seaside, Mukkachery, Ullal; Muhammad Mansoor alias Boliyar Mansoor (30), resident of Kapikad House, near Jumma Masjid, Boliyar, Ullal taluk and Muhammad Naushad (30), resident of near Grama Chavadi, Badria Nagar, Malar, Konaje.

During the operation, the police seized a sword, a knife, three mobile phones, and a Jeep with registration number KL-60-R-9755. The total value of the seized items is estimated to be Rs 25,90,000. A case has been registered against the accused at the Ullal police station, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend other individuals involved in this crime who are currently at large.

Among the arrested, Muhammad Sameer Ali alias Kadapara Sameer has been involved in seven previous cases, including an attempted murder and life-threatening case registered at Ullal police station, the Ilyas murder case at Mangaluru South police station, a shop shootout incident at Falnir, and a life-threatening case at Konaje police station. Another accused, Muhammad Mansoor aliasBoliyar Mansoor, has been involved in robbery and assault cases at Konaje police station, the Falnir shootout case at Mangaluru South police station, and a drug trafficking case at Sen Crime police station. Muhammad Naushad has a prior involvement in a robbery case at Konaje police station.

The operation to apprehend the accused was conducted under the guidance of city police commissioner Anupam Agarwal, led by CCB unit Inspector Shyam Sundar H M, PSI Sudeep M V, Sharana S Bhandari, and their team.
